Peruvian Amazon Indian Institute

WSI is proud to have supported and sponsored the enterprising work of Miguel Hilario on behalf of his people, the Shipibo-Conibo Indians of the Peruvian rainforest. Miguel has raised money for a river ambulance for his people along the Ucayali River (Upper Amazon) in Peru, with donations coming from several generous sources, including the Vanguard Foundation.

Miguel continues his struggle to assist the Shipibo-Conibo to obtain land entitlements from their central government. Miguel has prepared a CD of Andean Music, called "Hope", whose sale is intended to raise additional funds for his projects. You may contact WSI regarding any of the above, or you may contact Miguel directly at Peruvian Amazon Indian Institute, 1006 Madrone Lane, Petaluma, CA 94952; Email: mhilario@amazontribes.org. Website: www.amazontribes.org: or call (707)769-3069.
